MEXICO HURRICANE CENTER
Mexico
has a large coastline along the Pacific Ocean, the Caribbean,
the Gulf of Mexico, and the Gulf of California. Hurricanes develop
from easterly waves in the North pacific and atlantic oceans over
water in low pressure regions. They reach increasing levels of
intensity before turning into a hurricane. Usually in the hurricane
season between May and November, there is a chance that a hurricane
on the Atlantic Ocean may reach either the Caribbean or the Gulf
of Mexico. The following are some links that provide useful information
on tropical cyclones worldwide. We have linked to the particular
pages pertaining to Mexico.
