Introduction
Guadalajara

merchandise at low prices. The merchandise includes articles from
all over the country as well as local specialties. Hand woven
serapes and blankets, hand glazed pottery and ceramics, paintings,
clothes, hats, fine leather articles and shoes, silver work and
wood carvings are just some of the things you'll find. Shopping
malls are everywhere. Tianguis or street markets run every day
throughout the Guadalajara area where you can bargain for anything
from embroidered shirts to huaraches, and sleek shopping malls
have full-service department stores and trendy boutiques.

Instituto
De Artesanias Jaliscienses is a store run by the state government,
this store has a wide selection of the exquisite blown glass and
hand-glazed pottery typical of Jalisco artisans. There are also
fine crafts from other parts of Mexico all at fixed price. Tonala
has world famous ceramics, Tlaquepaque is a wonderful place to
shop for art, ironwork and ceramics. El Baratillo is one of the
world's largest flea markets. Lined with stalls, tents, and blankets
selling new, used and antique merchandise.
Mercado
Libertad, the Liberty Market
is one of Latin America's largest enclosed markets selling everything
from clothing to crafts to live animals and gold watches. Special
Mexican Dolls made of vinyl with Outfits from all the states and
regions of Mexico make for good momentos. These collectible quality
dolls have costumes which are hand embroidered and machine sewn
by the local women of Guadalajara.

La Gran Plaza, Plaza Del Sol, Plaza Galería Del Calzado,
Plaza México, Centro Magno, Calle Esteban Alatorre.
