Types of Accommodations Available
Homestay
This
is the best way to practice your Spanish and learn more
about Mexican culture. The families in the homestay program
have been carefully screened by the school. Most of them
have been with the Spanish language institute for a long
time and have been highly recommended by former participants.
The Families:
Almost all of the families live in a nice
residential area just behind the “Zona Dorada”
to the north of the city. This involves a 25 minute, easy
bus ride along the coast to the downtown area where the
school is. It’s a very short walk to reach the best
beaches and most popular nightclubs and discos from this
residential area. A few of the families live in the downtown
area and this involves a walk of around 10 blocks to school.
Some families have rooms with private baths and others do
not. There is no extra charge for rooms with private baths,
they are assigned on a first-come, first-assigned basis,
so that an early enrollment usually guarantees a private
bath if you list that as one of your preferences.
