A Day in the Life of a Spanish
Language Student
Total immersion: Yes!
But, no difficult schedules and all your time is spent on
things you want to do. The Spanish Program can be tailor-made
to your wishes.
Monday-Friday:
8:30-9:25 a.m.
Pronunciation and Listening Comprehension Workshop
9:30-11:30 a.m.
One hour and 45 minutes of structure practice in groups
of no more than 6 participants and one hour and 45 minutes
of conversation and vocabulary practice, with a 30-minute
rest break in the middle.
2-4 p.m. Lunch with host family.
Students who request the Person-to-Person activity at orientation
are introduced to local people in their own field so they
can meet their Mexican counterparts and visit them at work.
Each family has been carefully selected and comes highly
recommended by former students. The Spanish language school
takes your preferences into account when choosing a family
and sends you a description of the family in advance of
your arrival.
Other
The Spanish language schools helps participants
who want to do volunteer work get in touch with local organizations.
The Spanish language school issues identification
cards that can be used for discounts for other activities.
These include sailing, jet skiing, scuba diving, deep sea
fishing, snorkeling, parasailing, surfing, Tai Chi classes,
yoga classes, dance classes, tennis, golf, kayaking, nature
and birdwatching tours; tours to mountain villages; boat
trips along the coast; visits to mazatlan's aquarium; walking
tours of the historic center of the city and many others.
The Spanish language school will be glad to help you get
information on any of these.
