The Spanish language school offers medical
programs for individuals or groups (unless you are planning a
trip with your own group, this option would most likely not be
available). Students would study general Spanish in a group setting
and focus on medical Spanish during private classes.
Please note
that additional info (prices, activities, etc) are found to the
right of this pages.
Classes:
It is recommended that the students enroll in
the combination program or the executive program. The combination
program includes 2 lessons per day of group instruction where
students will focus on general Spanish and 3 lessons per day of
private instruction where students can focus on medical Spanish.
The executive option includes 5 lessons per day of group instruction
and 3 lessons per day of private instruction.
Materials:
The instructors at the Spanish language school use a variety of
handouts to teach medical Spanish.

It is possible for students to volunteer in clinics
or hospitals. They can also observe doctors/medical professionals.
There is a fee of about US$200 for a two week period of volunteering
in a private practice or public hospitals. The actual contact
with patients will vary depending on the student’s level
of education/certification/experience.
