Nursing Spanish Program In Turrialba Costa Rica

[heading style=”1″]Nursing Spanish Program In Turrialba, Costa Rica[/heading]

This Nursing Spanish Program is offered by our Turrialba Spanish School.

Turrialba is a wonderful and unique place within Costa Rica. The city is a very traditional Costa Rican city off the beaten tourist past. It is the most immersive location we offer in Costa Rica. Here you will have an opportunity to practice your Spanish while discovering Turrialba and the local culture. Turrialba is a great jumping off point to exciting things to do such as world class river rafting, stunning nature preserves, and more. Turrialba is only 42 miles outside of San Jose (a little over 1 hour travel time). This is a wonderful place to participate in a Nursing Spanish Program.

Turrialba was selected as a campus site by AEC because of this unique location. By being outside the standard tourist flow, Turrialba has kept its Costa Rican native charm and therefore serves as the most immersive of our campuses. Even though many tourists pass through town to experience its famous white water rafting, there are not many foreigners living in the area. This makes for an excellent environment for students wishing to practice their Spanish in the Turrialba shops, restaurants, and places of interest without the constant distraction of English speaking tourists and thus be better immersed in the Spanish language and Costa Rican culture.

Playa del Carmen hosts our medical Spanish program in Mexico. Playa del Carmen is a constantly growing beach town located 45 minutes south of Cancun along the stunning crystal blue coast of the Mayan Riviera.

Our Medical Spanish program focuses on providing Medical students with intensive medical Spanish courses combined with medical shadowing at the local Red Cross. The courses will be taught completely in Spanish and will help students develop everyday medical terminology as well as the tools needed to converse in a professional medical environment. Students must be at an Intermediate Level to ensure a minimal level of communication during shadowing.

Students will receive a minimum of 4 hours of clinical shadowing with doctors at the Red Cross, which is an independent NGO that has as its mission to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors. Its purpose is to protect life and health and to ensure respect for the human being. It promotes mutual understanding, friendship, cooperation and lasting peace among all peoples. It operates according to the 7 Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross and Red

The Spanish school that hosts the medical Spanish courses will provide all medical students with a certificate of completion that will state the number of class contact hours they have completed as well as the number of hours of shadowing provided at the clinic.

Playa del Carmen provides a great site for a medical Spanish program considering its modern amenities and facilites. The town provides an interesting combination of modernity with its sprawling resorts, and upscale cafes and restaurants, along with local neighborhoods providing a unique look at everyday life in Mexico as well as the ancient Mayan culture.
