It’s short distance to San Jose and the international airport there makes hassle free to get to and a very popular destination not only for Costa Ricans but international travelers. From the Juan Santa Maria International Airport it is only a little over an hour travel time by vehicle.

    Playa Jaco’s central location makes it a great jumping off point for destination up and down the lush Pacific Coast which include other great beaches, small towns, national parks, and much more. The town itself offers the visitor access to an abundance of shops, banks, hotels, bars, restaurants, and adventure tours. The Playa Jaco Spanish School is just minutes away by foot from pretty much anything you could want to see or do in Playa Jaco.

      • Take a public bus (a bit more than an hour)
      • Take a shuttle (faster and more comfortable vs a bus)
      • Hire a taxi (not terribly expensive).
