is where north meets south, colonial meets modern, and traditional
meets cutting edge. In addition to this, Guadalajara and the state

bittersweet mariachi music, the Mexican hat dance (jarabe tapatio),
and tequila.
It is a city of parks and fountains,
of monuments and rose-lined boulevards. Mingling with colonial
mansions and lovely old churches are new skyscrapers, attractive
residential areas, fine hotels, excellent restaurants, bars, and
nightclubs.
