| The
international courses at the University of Salamanca are located
in two buildings centrally located in the heart of the beautiful
Plateresque city center. The patio de Escuelas, where beginner
students conduct class, is directly opposite the famous University
of Salamanca façade and statue of one of its most famous
professors Frey Luis de Leon. The golden color of the stone used
in the construction of the Plateresque style of architecture is
considered the best in Spain. This is where students will meet
on the first day to take the placement test and conduct class.
The patio is just a short 5-minute walk from the Plaza Mayor,
the heart of Salamanca social life. In addition to classrooms
the administration offices are also located next door within the
beautiful Patio de Escuelas Menores.
Intermediate
and advanced students will take classes at the Palacio de San
Boal with remodeled classrooms a reception, theater, courtyard,
and tapas/cafeteria bar all located by a 10-minute walk from the
opposite side of the plaza. The facilities are very modern and
all classrooms are equipped with the latest in visual teaching
aides. Both locations are 5 minutes from the Plaza Mayor where
one can find up scale shopping, cafes, bars, bookstores, and photo
shops.
