Vina del Mar is one of Chile’s prime tourist destinations. Locals refer to the city as La Ciudad Jardin (Garden City). Vina del Mar borders the port city of Valparaiso which famous for it dining, cable cars, great dining, museums and culture. Vina del Mar itself boasts a warm climate, beautiful gardens, and a great variety of beaches, bars, and restaurants.
People from around the world come to Vina del Mar to enjoy its weather, its lifestyle, and its sunny beaches. Throughout the year the city hosts a variety of carnivals, outdoor events, and other entertaining events. From Vina del Mar one can experience numerous outdoor activities such as horseback riding, surfing, relaxing on the beach, or excursions to some wonderful national parks.
The city is full of younger people due to the fact the in the area there are a number of university campuses.
